Girl's trip(kind of)

Girl’s trip(kind of): Goa June 2018

The Gang

The girl's trip was a dream trip and I was so eager to go on a girl's only trip, especially a GOA trip. I did plan it with multiple groups and at various times. But no luck. And one fine day one of my friend
felt the same (bored with monotonous life). And we finally decided that we need a change and that change can only be a Goa trip. We tried convincing others, but but but but. So, it was March when we started planning and we needed it to happen ASAP, but the soonest it could happen was in June. Yeah, it will be too hot in June, everyone said the same thing. But that was the only time we could plan.

We decided the date 2nd June, made bookings. The whole intention of the trip was to relax, chill, spend time on shacks, enjoy the breeze and beaches. We were not interested in water sports, or any kind of “happening stuff”. So we booked an Airbnb stay at Colva beach, which is relatively calm and peaceful.

At the end of planning stuff, we were 4 (me, my friend, my friend’s Bhabhi, and Bhabhi’s brother). A bit odd group, isn’t it. More odd were our timings. I was supposed to reach Goa by Saturday morning and the rest of them were supposed to reach by 10PM on Saturday. But I was still happy. I thought I will enjoy 1 day as a solo traveller.

But what you plan, never happens. My bus got delayed by (not 1 or 2hrs) but by 5hrs and it was a sunny afternoon when I finally reached the Margaon bus stand. My host had informed me to about pilot taxi. So I took one and reached to the most refreshing apartment.

After 1-2 hrs of rest I decided to go and have solo fun. There was this weird feeling that what will I do alone, but still I was excited and was totally enthu about the solo part.

I reached Colva beach in 20min, it was nearby. Initially I acted that I am enjoying the walk on the beach, but it was sooooooooo boring (and was a bit scared & felt unsafe too) that I called at least 10 people to talk to. But everybody was so occupied at that particular hour. And that was the time when I understood the real meaning or need of solo trips. Its “Self Realization”. For me it came out as, that I can’t enjoy solo trips, especially when I had no reason to be upset, no fights nothing. I understood that I need people to talk to and that keeps me going. So I talked to many friends & family and killed my time.

Me: Solo & Bored at Colva beach
After that I went for a dinner in a hope that I could find a good company. And the only company I had was amazing Sea food (lemon Fish), Black Cap(my mock-tail which wasn’t black at all), and Lasagna (that was on top of my list since I have watched FRIENDS). Apart from this, the fun part was observing other people in the restaurant and that's one of my hobby as I used to say in college "Analysing people by observing them" ;).

At 10PM, rest of the group came and we went to the beach post their dinner. Did some masti and decided to come back early morning. After reaching home, me and my friend gossipped about various & Life Changing topics (very important ones).

It was the Bhai who used to wake us all, on time. We all got ready in the best of our clothes and went to beach. Beaches are bliss early morning, we captured tonnes of images and enjoyed the sunrise.

Bhai takes real good pictures ;)
Morning is always good for pictures

When there are more girls, decisions are hard to make. We were struggling with deciding where to go, what all to cover, where to go first, rent 2 bikes, 3 or 4 bikes, or rent a car, or directly book a taxi for the whole day. And what we could conclude was, that all the places to visit are in North Goa and we are staying near South Goa (Huh..). But on our way back, we booked a car and by 9AM we were all ready to go. Our plan was Colva->Butterfly beach->Agonda beach->Palolem beach->Go home (i.e Colva)->Take rest->North Goa and Tito's->Leave early morning for home.

Dressed up, took few pictures and started the road trip. Way to Butterfly beach was amazing, breathtaking view, solitude, smallest, cleanest, khopche me. A small trek or a walk in a small jungle is required to reach Butterfly beach. It's like a hidden beach in a jungle and surrounded by mountains. Just like an island in Lost (TV series), of course a tiny version. The best part was climate, it was
raining :).

Neat, clean, beautiful beach
Agonda: We were hungry and wanted to eat good food, but the beach was so quiet that we 4 were the only human beings present on that beach. All restaurants, hotels were closed. But we enjoyed the solitude of the beach and again clicked a bunch of pics. On the way to Palolem we got a good restaurant which was about to be closed and we were their last customer (Mula’s kitchen). Post lunch went to Palolem.
Agonda: Sunsaan beach

Palolem: Enjoyed the sand, lot lot k khele in sand, had Nariyal pani, some yoga and few pics obviously.
Palolem: Yoga point
After that we went back to our place, took rest, got refreshed and then headed to Tito’s (I had been to Goa thrice but never got chance to be there, so it was also on top of the list ;) my list is like ulta pyramid, top is too wide).

Tito’s: We did hear that the place is not good anymore and we did find lots of chapri people there.
Even the Foreigner’s were chapri. But who cares when you have a good group. We danced like we will never get to. Did DDD & everything that we usually don’t do and much more that can't be blog.
Gang of Girls
One with Bhai

We had decided to come back at dawn as it would be safer. But it was all closed by 3 and we had no choice but to leave and we did drive to Colva beach. Everybody except the Bhai was sleeping, were taking neend ke jhonke but in every few min we used to say “hey koi soega nai, chalo baat karo”, “arey left jana hai ya right”, “aaram se chala nikki”. And finally at 5 we could reach the place and dozed off to bed.

Again, it was Bhai who woke us all, maybe because it was his idea to drive to Dhudhsagar. He was so enthusiastic about the place & obviously the drive. And he was so calm throughout the drive unlike my brothers (Huh). And we still used to say “Nikki aaram se, koi jaldi nai h”, “nikki side me mat rok”. And moreover, he had to listen to all the girl’s gossip. But we somehow made him realize that it's for his own good, he will be able to understand women better ;).

So when we reached Dhudhsagar after the superb roadtrip, we got to know that it's been closed
since 31st May. Hard luck, but we were not at all disappointed as we had thoroughly enjoyed the journey. After a few inquiries we decided to go to the Tamdi Surla waterfall. Upon reaching the place, again a surprise. There was a Mahadev temple and flower wale bhaiya told us that way to Tamdi Surla is not good these days but we can go to temple. We did that with few good clicks and headed towards Benaulim beach (near to Colva). Had some snacks & coffee, few more pictures, some Kaju shopping and went back to the room as I had to catch bus. The rest of them had a late night flight.

So the summary is whenever girls make any plan they should try to execute it then and there. As they have a big mood swing issue. They plan with some mood and then end up executing it in some other mood. That’s what has happened with us. We did plan for this trip when we were frustrated in our daily lives. We just wanted to chill, relax, enjoy calm beaches and cold breeze & nothing is better than South Goa for all of these requirements. But when the final day came, we were in the total opposite mood. We wanted to be energetic, to enjoy the naughty side of Goa, cute boys, dance & lot of other things. And we did decide the next destination as well, Vegas :D.

And our trip was a mixture of all of these, so we are cool. And special thanks to the Bhai, cuz of him we felt safe, we had good pics, and could sleep in car ;).
